2003 Palomino

Completed - 2003 Klein Palomino, size XL. This one has the old-style air+coil shock, and still uses bushings (though I'm eyeballing the Maverick monolink upgrade). Still, I've found it to be an astounding ride.

 That is awesome. I've never seen one of these before (that I know of). Love the internally routed cables and OLD-school rear schock!

 That 'old-school shock' was the Achilles' Heel of the works. It's a magnesium body, and also a structural member of the rear triangle. It developed micro-cracks just below the seal (as these have a rep for doing) and now leaks air and grease! The frame is just a pretty decoration in my storage. I can get a newer model shock, but it's $$$ that I don't have right now.

Beautiful bike, though, and it's definitely a Klein!!!
