A few bikes...

[ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
This photo is the conglomeration of bikes in the unfinished portion of the basement. Here they are all together. In summer, they are spread out all over the place. Winter time, the Trance and Rockhopper are cleaned up and put on hub stands in the office. The old Trek is mounted and used on the bike trainer. The Hardrock chills in the stand seen. Depending on how much white stuff is out on the roads, it is used here and there. Usually the trainer get's the abuse during the winter season.

It's mesmerising.

Next Spring is my big purge on achieving a full state of orderliness. Woodworking goes out of the garage to the cabin. Garden gear goes to a new shed. Car tools get properly sorted in the garage. The zoning keeps things job-related, and improves the level of sanity !

And, hmm, gotta sort out the attic !

Those bikes were definitely all packed together last year! Now I have them spread out a bit. That Trek has remained on the trainer as seen, the Hardrock is on the rack/stand which I try to use often for winter riding here. The Trance and Rockhopper have been cleaned pretty thoroughly and are on stands in my office downstairs. Right now, that part of the basement is full of backcountry/AT ski gear! I ended up biting the bullet and finally put together a set, which I tested yesterday. I found that the bindings, skis and skins are perfect. Problem is the damn boots! Too small! I think I remedied that problem this afternoon though, will find out this next weekend after another test run up high in the Wasatch.
