A not-so-shiny Specialized Hardrock.

I ended up stopping at the Ghost Falls Trail Head on the way down from the top of View Benchmark to scrape the excess mud off the bike. The route was snowy and muddy for some portions, mainly from the Haddington Trail Head to this one. I found a larger stick on the ground and cleared some of the burgeoning mud off the bike just before taking this photo. It was so thick that the wheels indeed stopped turning on their own on some portions.

I also learned on the descent how crappy those stock RST forks are that come stock with these bikes. Let's just say the fork averaged about in inch of travel, max. A new fork may be on the upgrade list, possibly. Just depends how much action this bike really see's this winter.

Those fenders were made by Serfas, if I remember right. I bought them at HucknRoll.com, though when I just checked they aren't listed anymore. The seat post mount works good, got to clamp it down really tight though. One thing I found about the front is that the mount fit's with a wing nut, cam style, into the steer tube from the bottom side. I found that that cam didn't fit my Fox or Rockshox steer tube diameter! The cam itself was too wide in diameter. It only seemed to work on the lower budget stuff like the RST fork in this pic. Other than that, they worked out well!
