Aspens, west side

About halfway down the west side (or up, if you're heading east) is this pretty little meadow with aspens. Nice trail, a few little "steps" to jump down.

Unless you don't have mosquitos. Though, Scotland's are called, Midges. Terrible little blighters that infest the atmosphere at dusk. Torture. I'm staying South and sane ! |

I've known both - midges and real mosquitoes, those that haunt Polish forests the same style as on the picture - I'm not sure which ones I hate most... |

Oh, we have mosquitoes. Not bad (at least in these parts). Other areas can be bad. Midges are something else here, generally something benign. |

Wd don't have biting midges in the US I believe. But we do have both blackflies and cedar gnats (depending on location of course) that can really be a pain. Literally! |
