This album is for listing your favorite summer job(s) and any photos you may have.
I am a school teacher and typically have July and August for recreation and odd jobs. I have had some fun, tedious (window washer, anyone?), interesting and boring summer jobs in my life but the one I have for the Summer of 2010 has got to top them all. I am a motor gopher for a company in the Portland, OR area that handles and delivers manufacturer-owned press fleet cars for reviews by journalists and for press/track day events. High end cars are typically the order of the day but we also see many pre-production and early production lower end/mid-range rigs. We handle Lexus, Land Rover, Mercedes, BMW, Volvo, Jaguar, Lotus, Cadillac, Porsche, Subaru, performance cars from GM, Ford and Chrysler as well as deliver lease vehicles to various clients. Pictured are some of my more exciting rides.
A 2010 Dodge Viper. A 600hp Brute. I couldn't get the smile off my face the whole 3 hours I was behind the wheel! It's Anaconda Green.
A fairly rare 2011 Lotus Evora. A great looking car with incredible balance and track tuned manners.
This is a pre-production 2011 Mustang GT 5.0. Great performance with fine quality at a reasonable price.
Performance luxury at its finest: A 2010 BMW 750i on it's way from PDX to Seattle for a press event. This thing has a more sophisticated electronics system than the Apollo 11 CM.
Another rough day at work: Using a Jag for a chaser for the return trip after dropping the Mustang.
I only got to drool over this rig, a 2011 Corvette Grand Sport. I love 'Vettes, especially anything connected with the historic Grand Sport name, so it appears here.
